Valuation Process
You can request a quote from us via our website, by email or by phone. To serve you quickly and competently, we will first determine the purpose and valuation basis of the valuation assignment. We will make sure you receive our quote the same day, but at the latest within 24 hours of your request. After approval of our quotation, we will immediately make an appointment at the location(s) to be valued.
Appraisal execution
During our visit, our appraiser records all finishes and installations relevant to the appraisal. We research the value and influencing factors and combine this with our knowledge of the market. We then arrive at a thoroughly substantiated value. We record this in an appraisal report.
Report
We place the appraisal report prepared by the appraiser in a 2nd read so that another appraiser looks at it. The 2nd appraiser does a number of standard checks including checking the calculation. Once the report has passed this stage, we send the appraisal report immediately.
For insurance appraisals, we can also send the report to the intermediary immediately if required. This is because valuation reports for insurance purposes are only legally valid after they have been recorded on the policy by underwriters.
Our appraisers are certified. Our appraisals for insurance purposes (Article 7:960 BW) are accepted by all insurers.
Validity of appraisals for insurance purposes (Art. 7:960 BW)
- Building appraisals have a validity period of 72 months (6 years)
- Business inventory appraisals have a validity of 36 months (3 years)
- Economic appraisals have a validity of 6 months
